Zantac Cancer Lawsuit

Zantac Cancer Lawsuits

RPWB attorneys are investigating cases for people who took the popular heartburn drug Zantac and developed certain types of cancer, including stomach, bladder, colon, and pancreatic cancer..

On April 1, 2020, the FDA ordered that Zantac be pulled from the shelves and no longer be taken by consumers. The FDA found that an ingredient in the drug, ranitidine, breaks down over time into a contaminant known as N-Nitrosodimethylamine, or NDMA, which is known to cause cancer.

Consumers who took Zantac should consult with their doctor to find an alternative medication that does not contain ranitidine. Many drug stores and pharmacies have not sold Zantac since September 2019 when the FDA issued a warning about the safety of Zantac.
