Ward to Serve on SC Bar Judicial Committee

CHARLESTON, S.C. — RPWB member James L. Ward, Jr. has been asked to serve on the SC Bar Judicial Qualifications Committee. The committee is responsible for interviewing Bar members who have knowledge of professional experience, ability, character, and other qualifications of candidates for the South Carolina courts. Candidates up for judicial selection provide personal information and complete a confidential interview process with the Judicial Qualifications Committee members. The Committee then prepares, discusses, votes on, and issues a report indicating whether the candidate meets or does not meet established criteria for judicial selection. In addition to being a practicing trial lawyer, Mr. Ward is the firm's business manager.
