RPWB Expands Pharmaceutical Drug Practice with High Profile Lateral Hire

Charleston, S.C. — RPWB is set to expand its pharmaceutical drug practice through the hiring of David L. Suggs, a leading trial attorney in numerous high profile cases.

Mr. Suggs joins Richardson Patrick as Of Counsel and brings with him extensive experience in complex drug product liability mass tort litigation. He has represented plaintiffs in the Dalkon Shield IUD, Copper-7 IUD, Norplant, L-Tryptophan, Albuterol, Diet Drug, Phenylpropanolamine (PPA), and Zyprexa cases. In the latter six cases, he was a member of their respective federal multidistrict litigation plaintiffs' steering committees.

Head of RPWB's pharmaceutical litigation practice, Blair Hahn, says, "We are so pleased to have someone of David's caliber join our pharmaceutical team. The firm looks forward to combining top quality legal skills to secure justice for our clients." Hahn is one of the attorneys who settled the $700 million Zyprexa case.
