Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman, LLC Elects Four New Members

Mount Pleasant, S.C. (February 20, 2009) — Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman, LLC (RPWB), one of the nation's largest plaintiffs' litigation firms, announced that Elizabeth Middleton Burke, Jerry H. Evans, Daniel S. Haltiwanger and Gregory A. Lofstead have been elected members of the firm. These attorneys have fine-tuned their areas of expertise which will ensure a solid future for RPWB." Elizabeth Middleton Burke joined the firm in 2003. She earned a B.A. from the College of Charleston and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Burke is active in the South Carolina Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. She is also the President-Elect of the College of Charleston Alumni Association. Ms. Burke practices medical device and pharmaceutical drug litigation. Jerry Evans has been with the firm since 2002 and practices in the areas of Natural Resource Damage (NRD), Tobacco and Toxic Torts. Mr. Evans earned a B.M. from the Eastman School of Music, an M.M. from Indiana University and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Association for Justice and the American Constitution Society. Dan Haltiwanger works from the firm's Barnwell, South Carolina office. He has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of South Carolina. His primary areas of practice are railroad and truck accidents and vehicle defects. Mr. Haltiwanger is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the South Carolina Association for Justice. Gregory A. Lofstead joined the firm in 2002. He earned his B.A. and J.D. from West Virginia University. Mr. Lofstead is a member of the South Carolina Bar. He is also active in Trial Lawyers for Public Justice where he was a finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year. His areas of practice are tobacco and silicosis.
