(Mt. Pleasant, SC)…..Richardson, Patrick, Westbrook & Brickman (RPWB) partner James (Jay) L. Ward, Jr. has been elected to the South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ) Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is comprised of the SCAJ officers and four members of the Board of Governors, and its function is to act with the power and authority of the Board of Governors when it is not possible for the Board of Governors to convene.

Mr. Ward is also Chair of the Torts and Negligence Section. In addition, outgoing SCAJ President, Kirk Morgan, honored Ward with a President's Award for his work during Morgan's term.

The South Carolina Association for Justice has over 1300 members. The number one priority of SCAJ is to protect the rights of South Carolina citizens to a fair and accessible justice system.

Mr. Ward practices in the areas of products liability, antitrust, class actions, and business litigation.
