Pharmaceutical Drugs

Fen-Phen

RPWB is not taking new clients for Fen-Phen, but don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or if you'd like to explore your legal rights concerning another pharmaceutical drug.

A variety of prescription diet drugs are known to cause serious side effects. Among those drugs are Pondimin (Fenfluramine), Redux (Dexfenfluramine), and Fen-Phen (Fenfluramine and Phentermine combination). The most significant side effect associated with the use of these drugs is heart valve abnormalities. These drugs damage the two valves located on the left side of the heart. These valves are known as the aortic valve and the mitral valve and they act like tiny gates in the heart, opening and closing to allow proper blood flow. Many people who have taken these drugs suffer from a problem known as "regurgitation" which occurs when these heart valves do not close properly and blood flows backward through the valve. Currently RPWB is pursuing cases on behalf of people who have taken one or more of these drugs or combinations of these drugs and have been diagnosed with any of the following conditions:
  • Moderate or severe regurgitation in mitral and/or aortic valve
  • PPH (primary pulmonary hypertension)
  • Aortic and/or mitral valve replacement or repair surgery after diet drug use
